Week Notes – S01E03

Most if it was a blur.

Things I did.

Most of this last week has been a haze.

It’s amazing how much of life changes when something is so quickly removed from it. I didn’t start “feeling normal” (whatever that is) until Thursday.

This week we worked towards our last alpha release of the component library. This mainly involved minor bug fixes and speed improvements for that good ol’ Developer Experience.

I was particularly pleased in how we’d written the components in a way that meant we could remove the dependency of a CSS reset. The only fruit left hanging was to remove the margin that browsers give the body element.

Things I read.

I’d recently finished The Chalk Man by C. J. Tudor and was looking for a new fiction book to read. I try and have a non-fiction and fiction book to read at a time. I decided to get Good Morning, Midnight by Lily Brooks-Dalton as I spotted a news article on Bloody Disgusting reporting that it was going to be turned into a Netflix Original.

As usual, I read a load of articles on Design Systems for the newsletter.

Things I watched.

On Saturday Ethan wanted to watch The Meg so we watched that. During witch I wondered what rating [Jaws](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaws_(film) ) was to find that it had been updated to a 12A from an original PG.

One late afternoon I found a couple of episodes on NowTV that had highlights from this years Download Festival. They did not like: Slipknot, Slayer Halestorm, or Slash.

We’ve started watching [Peaky Blinders](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peaky_Blinders_(TV_series) ) which myself and Sarah are enjoying.

Things I listened to.

After watching Halestorm earlier in the week I found their back catalogue and instantly became a fan. I also listened to Everclear which brought back memories of playing in bands in my late teens.
