An expert user = seen as internal staff
We’ve come a long way with Design Systems but not for internal staff.
Can’t we just use our existing Design System?
A sensible choice perhaps.
Saves some money.
But does it work?
Is the context design agnostic?
A food delivery service has different contexts that the user and the rider need so the design should be different
A judge does not ‘tick boxes’ so the GDS one form element for one page does not work for the judicial service
How do you create a design system while developing a product
inputs are as important as outputs..
include research in your design system.
Link research to user stories within your early design system.
